Found. Weave. Trade. One shared sea.
Charterwake: Tidebound is a high-fantasy island economy game. You found settlements on enchanted islands, grow one people from humble peasants to radiant Luminaries, weave production chains across frozen fjords, green countryside and ember-hot dunes, trade over a vivid turquoise sea and defend your harbours with fleets. It plays like a classic island city builder, but in one huge seamless world that many players share and that keeps running while you are away.
What it is about
The five pillars of the design
One world, one view
A single large map with biome bands, from the Frostmark in the north to the Emberdunes in the south. Zoom from a market stall to the whole ocean in one camera move.
Economy first
Production chains, logistics and the needs of your people are the heart of the game, never busywork.
Colourful high fantasy
Turquoise water, juicy greens, glowing crystals and floating lanterns. Painterly, bright, never grimdark.
A shared, living world
Co-op and competition on the same map. A persistent world keeps its economies running while you are offline; classic pausable sessions run on the same server.
Built to grow
New islands, buildings, goods and whole climate zones arrive as content packs.

Charterwake is an early work in progress by a single developer. There is no public release yet; the game, the launcher and their online services are being built and tested in the open.
